BASKETBALL WORLD TORONTO PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIREMENT

Updated April 15th, 2022

  • PLEASE NOTE - At the moment, all of the schools we currently use for our programs STILL REQUIRE face masks to be worn at all times (except when on the court).  Thus upon entering the facility, on the bench, going to a washroom, and/or leaving the facility, a face mask STILL MUST BE WORN.  Please ensure you follow these policies until further notice.

  • As per the Government on Ontario, Toronto Public Health & the Facilities we use, the mandate for proof of vaccination CONTINUES for ... indoor areas of facilities used for sports and recreational fitness activities...  We do hope that this will change sometime in April 2022 but cannot guarantee it will as we need the Province, TPH, the Ministry of Education AND the facilities to officially make this announcement FOR ALL FACILITIES which still has not been done as of April 2022.  So please assume this policy will remain in effect until further notice.

  • All Basketball World Toronto programs for ANY PARTICIPANT 12 OR OLDER will require proof of vaccination.

  • In addition, in order to participate in a BWT ADULT or YOUTH Program, you & your child will be REQUIRED to show proof ONLY VIA THE PROVINCIAL QR CODE ...
  • ‚ÄčAs of January 1st, 2022 - Proof of Vaccination by the Province of Ontario is ONLY ACCEPTABLE via the Ontario Proof of Vaccination QR CODE (showing 2 doses received).  No exceptions will be accepted.

YOUTH PARTICIPANTS BORN IN 2011 OR LATER

  • Youth participants born in 2011 (Ages 11 or younger) are EXEMPT from this regulation.  Please note this may change as per the Province of Ontario rules and this is not an exception that we can predict.

SPECTATORS

  • PLEASE NOTE - The majority of facilities ARE STILL NOT ALLOWING SPECTATORS AT ALL.  If the facility DOES ALLOW SPECTATORS & IF BWT HAS DECIDED TO ALLOW SPECTATORS, 1 parent, family member OR 1 guardian will also be REQUIRED TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS and BWT will not ensure the spectators will be allowed in at the same time due to a shortage of resources.

E&OE (Errors & Omissions Excepted) - This information is subject to change at any time and it is the responsibility of each player (adult or youth player/youth parent) to know this information or to inquire with ENOUGH TIME to get a response AND to avoid being refused to participate at a site on the day of the program as last-minute exceptions WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF RESOURCES AND TIME TO MANAGE SPECIFIC SITUATIONS.
