The Summer 2016 Men's Competitive Division finished on Thursday as Sports thrashed Ascendant 51-37 to win the Men's Competitive trophy.

The final featured the top two teams in the league, but despite being one game apart from each other in terms of wins and losses, Sports pulled away with a 20 point fourth quarter to turn this one into a blowout after being so close for most of the game. Sports also played a very good team game by dishing out 12 assists and were tenacious defensively and grabbed a total of seven steals. Unfortunately, Ascendant could not find a second gear after winning their semi-final match-up on a controversial buzzer beater.

Kevin Barker had a solid night from the field going five for nine from the field and 50% downtown en route to 16 points. He was also one rebound shy of a double-double. Due to his loaded stat sheet Kevin is this year's Finals MVP. Great work Kevin, hope to see you and Sports back next season to defend your crown!
