Basketball World Toronto hosted the Winter 2014 Corporate Division Championship Game on Thursday June 12^th at Jarvis Collegiate. The game was played between Salesforce and Ascendants, and would prove to be one of the most entertaining games of the season.

The opening quarter would showcase the balance of skill between both sides, Salesforce's made a late run to take the lead after the first 12 mintues 16-12. The second quarter was much of the same with both teams exchanging baskets, Mark Nielsen (#24 Salesforce) and Darryl Phillips (#21 Ascendants) both scored 8 points in the quarter. The first half would end in a deadlock, with both teams tied at 32.

Salesforce opened the second half with a strong offensive output, and would keep the momentum in their favor into the fourth quarter. This game could not be decided in regulation, after 48 minutes both teams were tied and it would take overtime to decide BWT’s Corporate Division Champions.

With one last possession and the outcome in their hands, Salesforce was unable to connect from the field and would lose a nail bitter 62-60. Ascendants, led by a game high 22 points from James Clark (#32) proved to be too much to handle and would be crowned Basketball World Toronto’s Corporate Division Champions. BWT would like to congratulate both Salesforce and Ascendants on their impressive seasons, and all other teams and players who participated in a great season.
