The only thing that we at Basketball World Toronto value more than our community is the planet we share it with. Green initiatives are necessary movements to set standards for how we should be more sustainability-minded moving forward in all aspects of our organization, as well as our lives outside basketball. One of our first steps in making BWT more environmentally conscious is by removing the presence of water bottles at our game sites.

Plastic bottles of any kind are huge producers of unnecessary waste that we encourage to be manufactured by our continued consumption of them. By removing these bottles from our game sites we can hopefully influence our participants to be more active in this reusable water bottle movement. If you’re concerned that you won’t be able to bring any water now do not worry! There are water fountains available at all of our game locations. Please help us help the environment and take your own initiative to go reusable.

To clarify the plastic water bottles we are referring to the disposable plastic water bottles you buy pre-filled at the store. We encourage the use of reusable water bottles.
