Important Dates

  • Registration Opens - Monday, March 11th, 2024
  • Early Bird Deadline - Monday, April 8th, 2024
    • ALL TEAMS Save $150 on your TEAM REGISTRATION if you PAY IN FULL by the Early Bird Deadline.  Please enter SUMMEREB2024 at checkout to receive the discount
    • INDIVIDUALS - Save $35 on your INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION.  Early Bird price is applied at checkout already as long as registration is done by 11:59pm on Mon. April 8th, 2024.
  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE - Monday, May 6th, 2024
  • Programs Start - Week of May 19th - 25th, 2024
  • Programs End - Between August 5-16th, 2024 pending any facility constraints

Bay Street Hoops Basketball Organization

The Bay Street Hoops Corporate Basketball League is one of the only Men’s Corporate Basketball Leagues in the city of Toronto.  The league which was previously known as the Toronto Accountant’s League has been running for 20+ years in the city.  In 2008, in partnership with Basketball World Toronto, the league was redeveloped to enhance the program offering and help raise funds for the Bay Street Hoops Basketball Organization beneficiaries.  Over the past 15+ years, the proceeds from the league have helped support the beneficiaries.  For more information on Bay Street Hoops, please click here

LEAGUE Info

  • Competitive and/or Recreational Level
  • The league is Co-Ed however most players are men.  Women are welcome to play.  Please ensure you are comfortable playing basketball against mainly men.
  • 10 Reg. Season Games + Playoffs (only top 4 qualify)
  • 4 x 10-minute running time quarters. 
  • Division Alignment - After the first couple of weeks of games, the league may be divided into different divisions depending on skill.  
  • Jersey Requirements
    • All players MUST have a BWT Silver/Black Jersey to participateYou can purchase BWT jerseys during your registration or afterward by clicking here. 
    • Teams/Individuals are NOT ALLOWED TO USE their own non-BWT branded jerseys.
    • Returning teams must ensure EVERY PLAYER returns with their BWT Silver/Black Jerseys (and is a different number) or they will be required to purchase a jersey for every player in advance or at the first game.
    • Teams/Individuals can purchase your BWT Jersey(s) during your registration or afterward by clicking here. 
  • Benefits/Features:
    • Statisticsonline statistics and standings.
  • Prizes/Awards:
    • Championship T-shirts & Team Trophy (name and year will be engraved on the trophy).
  • All teams/players must have a connection to a corporation to participate in the league.
  • Games officiated by certified Toronto Association of Basketball Officials. 
  • Players must review BWT's League Rules & Regulations before playing.

FALL DIVISION - DETAILS

  • Game Nights: Tuesday Evenings (we cannot guarantee there will not be changes, but we expect to run on this night).
  • Game Times: between 6:00 - 10:00 PM
  • Location (All Locations May Be Used)
  • Free Agent Run - Wednesday, September 20th, 2023
  • League Starts: Week of September 24th - 30th, 2023
  • League Ends: Late December 2023
  • Please note: Some teams may be required to play one (1) or more doubleheaders or play on another night to make up the game.

WINTER DIVISION - DETAILS

  • Game Nights: Tuesday AND/OR Thursday Evenings (teams choose their preferred night during registration but we cannot guarantee you will play on that night for every game as the final number of teams will dictate which night(s) we will play on for all teams/games during the season.
  • Game Times: between 6:00 - 10:00 PM
  • Location (All Locations May Be Used)
  • Free Agent Run - Wednesday, January 17th, 2023
  • League Starts: Week of January 28th, 2023 - February 3, 2024
  • League Ends: Late April / Early May 2023
  • Please note: Some teams may be required to play one (1) or more doubleheaders or play on another night to make up the game.

Non-Refundable Processing / Service Charge

Please note

  • All team/individual fees include a non-refundable processing/service charge regardless if you/your team plays or chooses to for a refund (before the day of the Registration Deadline Date listed above).
  • All individuals who sign up and ask to be put onto a team are subject to a non-refundable processing/service charge even if we cannot find a spot on a team for you OR cannot build an individual team.  This fee covers the work to try to build a team/get you onto a team.

JERSEYS ARE EXTRA FOR TEAMS & INDIVIDUALS

PLEASE NOTE - All league in the GTA now charge additional fees for jerseys in addition to the program registration fees.  After many years of including these jersey costs into our league fees we can no longer do this and are now simply applying the same fees other leagues charge.  

All returning players (who do not have a BWT White/Black or Silver/Black Jersey) who require a jersey in order to play will be required to purchase a jersey during the registration process or anytime in advance of the first game.  Please click here to order jersey(s).

DURING YOUR NEW/RETURNING REGISTRATION

  • During your registration, you will be able to purchase a BWT White/Black jersey(s) for you/your team in a quantity of 1-15.  

AFTER YOUR REGISTRATION

  • In addition, if you or your teammates need to purchase a jersey(s), you can direct them to our STORE page to purchase jerseys with their payment.

PLEASE NOTE - Teams MUST use a COMPLETE MATCHING SET of BWT Silver/White/Black Jersey to play in any BWT league.  No Mixing of BWT older Red/Black Jerseys.  No exceptions to this rule.

MEN'S CORPORATE - PLAYER OF THE WEEK PRESENTED BY "YOUR COMPANY"

Basketball World Toronto is looking for sponsors for our Adult Men's Corporate League.  The goal of this award is to recognize players for their performance and garner excitement for the league.  

Selection Process: 

  • The player is selected based on the stat line which includes a combination of total points, assists, steals, blocks, and rebounds.
  • To be fair to all participants BWT will try to always distribute the awards amongst as many players as possible in one season. 

Please note that the goal of this award is to recognize players for their performance and garner excitement for the league however there are to be no disputes about BWT's selection process, as this is a bonus to complement our league. If you have any questions please contact the office directly.
