Basketball World Toronto's - Fall 2012 - Women's Division Finals will be held TOMORROW - Monday December 17th, 2012 at 7:45pm at Ryerson University - Kerr Hall Gym - 31 Gerrard Street, Toronto, ON. The game features Tronin' Yo vs. The Game 2.0. Please enter and go to the 2nd floor and follow the signs to the Kerr Hall Gym. There is no cost to spectators and you can come for anytime after 7:30pm.

BWT - Fall 2012 - Women's Division Championship
On Monday December 17th, 2012, Basketball World Toronto held the finals for the Women's Division at Ryerson University. The game featured the #1 seed Game 2.0 vs. a perennial powerhouse Tronin' Yo.
The game began strong starts by both squads. The Game 2.0 was lead by Lauren Stewart (#21) solid inside play and Nicole Trott's uptempo play. Tronin' Yo countered with slashing guard play from Melanie Belore (#4) and Reanne Holden (#5) as well as inside play from Ray Williams (#25). At the half, The Game 2.0 had a slight lead of 27-22. As the second half got underway, Tronin' Yo started to pour it on with a strong balanced team attack winning the 3rd quarter. However, in the 4th quarter, it was all Lauren Stewart of The Game 2.0 who finished with 12 points in the quarter and leading The Game 2.0 to its second BWT Title with a 52-45 win. The MVP was awarded to the The Game 2.0's Lauren Stewart (#21) who finished with 25points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Fall 2012 - Women's Division All-Star Game Champions - East All-Stars
BWT - Fall 2012 - Women's Division - All Star Game
On Saturday November 24th, 2012, Basketball World Toronto was proud to present BWT's - Fall 2012 - Women's Division - All-Star Game. The game featured this Fall season's best women's basketball players from BWT's Women's Division.
In this game, the two teams were evenly matched for the first half. The East All-Stars were led by Lauren Stewart (#11) and Kate Curtis (#12). The West All-Stars were led by solid inside play from Valerie Samson (#15) and Laura Heinrich (#11). At the half, the East had built a small lead 24-16. In the 3rd quarter the West pushed foward to win the 3rd quarter to cut the East lead down to 6 going into the final quarter. However, it was the East All-Stars who dominated the 4th out scoring the West 23-7 and taking the All-Star Game 57-36. Lauren Stewart was awarded the game MVP with 22 points, 1 assist, 4 steals and 8 rebounds.

BWT's Women's Summer League 2012 - Championship Game
Team X
BWT's Summer 2012 Women's Division Championship Game was held on Monday August 20th, 2012 at George Brown College. The game featured Girl Ballerz vs. X. This was the final game of BWT's Women's Division league which features some of the best women's players in the city of Toronto.
The game was a matchup of 1st place X vs. the 3rd place squad, Girl Ballerz. To start the game and make a statement, X jumped out to an early lead. At the end of the first quarter the score was 15-7. Jahlica Kirnon (#2) of Girl Ballerz showed some skill and scored a quarter high of 7 points. In the second X did not let up and more then doubled points scored by Girl Ballerz that quarter. The third and fourth quarter were pretty much the same thing, X out scoring Girl Ballerz. X took the BWT championship with a final score of 57-33. Monique Webley (#4) was selected as the finals MVP with a stat line of - 15 points, 3 assists, 1 steal and 12 rebounds.
Congratulations and thank you to all players who participated in BWT's Summer 2012 Women's Division this season. We look forward to seeing you all in BWT's Women's Fall League 2012 starting in September.
