Bay Street Hoops Basketball Organization

Bay Street Hoops Basketball Organization is one of the only Corporate Basketball Programs in the city of Toronto.  The organization runs a weekly league as well as a 3-day basketball tournament.

The Corporate Basketball League which was previously know as the Toronto Accountant’s League has been running for 20+ years in the city.  Four years ago, in partnership with Basketball World Toronto, the league was redeveloped to enhance the program offering and help raise funds for the Bay Street Hoops Basketball Organization beneficiaries which currently include the Bay Street Hoops Youth Basketball Initiative, Special Olympics Ontario and KidsSport.  Over the past 4 years, BWT has helped the BSH league alone raise close to $10k to contribute to the funds raised for the above listed chairities.

The Charity Basketball Tournament is one of Toronto’s largest sports charity events.  It is built on a foundation of participation and community spirit. It is about having fun and supporting children and youth charities through sport.  Since 1995, over $2,200,000 has been raised for children and youth charities in the Toronto area, including close to $140,000 in 2013.

The typical Bay Street Hoops League or Tournament participant is a lawyer, accountant or financial services professional who loves playing basketball and, more importantly, wants to use his or her position in the community to help those who are less fortunate.
