Canada's men's basketball team has clinched its first spot in the FIBA World Cup in almost a decade.

Kyle Wiltjer had a game-high 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead Canada to a 94-67 win over Brazil on Monday, December 3rd, 2018.

The win improved Canada's record to 8-2 with just two games remaining in the second round of qualifying, guaranteeing the team a top-three finish in its group. 

"It's been a long time since this country has had a chance to be back on the world stage," said veteran centre Joel Anthony. "I remember when we qualified the last time and just a really proud feeling to be able to be back and see us get back there.

Canada going to the World Cup is again, an accomplishment to be proud of. All of us at BWT will keep cheering on our home team and will keep updating on the team's journey. We can't wait for February 2019!
