Montreal Native Shining Bright

On Monday, April 1st, Toronto Raptors and 905 forward Chris Boucher was named both G League MVP (Most Valuable Player) and DPOY (Defensive Player of the Year). The Montreal native signed a two-year contract with the Raptors earlier in the season that is worth just over two-million dollars. This season with the 905, Boucher averaged 27.2 points a game while simultaneously averaging 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game. He is the first player in G League history to win both awards in the same season. In the NBA, this has only been done twice, once by Michael Jordan and once by Hakeem Olajuwon. With his length and athleticism, the young G League stud has the potential to have an extremely bright future in the Association. Raptor fans around the world cannot wait to see more of him!
