BWT Youth Academy

Basketball World Toronto's Youth Academy offers youth Rep Teams, Leagues, Skill Development Sessions, Training, Camps and Clinics.  The goal is to provide high-quality programs to help develop younger basketball players learn, practice, play and excel in the sport of basketball.

Program Overview

Basketball World Toronto Skill Development Program focuses on developing fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for the love of the game of basketball.  The curriculum is built off a combination of Basketball World Toronto, Basketball Ontario's Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program and the Canada Basketball Long Term Athletic Development Model.  As a result, the curriculum is flexible enough to allow help children develop in the sport and have game play to enhance their skills 

Program Details

  • Sessions are 60 minutes long
  • Time is divided into skill sessions, training, and then informal competitions, and gameplay amongst the group. 
  • The number of sessions varies depending on the season.
  • Ages are grouped in Co-Ed 8-11 or Girls Only 12-17 years old
  • Certified Instructors
  • BWT T-Shirt & End-of-Season Award

GIRLS SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SPONSOR FOR OUR "PLAYER OF THE WEEK" - PRES. BY "YOUR COMPANY"

Basketball World Toronto is looking for a presenting Sponsor for our Girls Skill Development Program "Player of the Week" for each age division and each night of the season (9 Weeks).

  • The Girls Skill Development Program "Player Of The Week" will be selected based on the following criteria - Achievement of weekly goals, work ethic, sportsmanship, and coaches' feedback.

Please note - The goal of these awards is to recognize players for their weekly accomplishments, achievements and encourage positive behavior.
