Women's League - Winter 2011 - Championship Game

BWT - Winter 2011 - Women's League Champions - Tronin' Yo

BWT's Winter 2011 Women's Championship Game was held on Sunday April 3, 2011 at the Air Canada Centre - Toronto Raptors Main Court. The game featured last season's champions Tronin' Yo vs. the Dream. The game was the final game of BWT's Women's Division league which features some of the best women's players in the city of Toronto.

It was an intense start with both teams feeling each other out and never letting either squad break out to a lead bigger than 2 points. In the second half, both teams came out firing on all cylinders. Both teams doubled their first half totals but it was Tronin' Yo with that 2-point lead at half that made the difference and 36-34 win and took BWT's Women's League Championship for a second season in a row. The game was led by Chantelle Johnson (#32) who scored a total of 14 points for  Dream, and by MVP Ray Williams (#21) who finished with 12 points, 1 steal, 1 block and 9 rebounds for Tronin' Yo.

Congratulations and thank you to all players who participated in BWT'S Women's Winter League 2011 this year and we look forward to seeing you all in BWT’s Women's Summer League 2011 starting in May.
